About SIXIW

Watch content for those with smaller wrists.

SIXIW was created so that you can live my experience, but not my mistakes

I bought my first ever watch in the middle of 2016, which was a Casio G-Shock DW5600MS-1 (the one with a negative display). Back then, it never occurred to me that the 43mm watch was too large for my skinny wrists, I was just happy I had a watch I purchased with my own money. Fast forward just 1 week later, I bought a Seiko Orange Monster (2nd-gen), a 43mm diver. In all honesty, I didn’t even know about watch sizes, nor did I categorize myself in the tiny-wrist community. I just bought watches that I could afford, and were aesthetically pleasing. For the following year and a half, I went gung-ho and bought a whole range of differently sized watches, from divers to dress watches.

From 45 to 38

It wasn’t until I first put on the Seiko SARB033 (38mm) that I realized: “hey, this watch fits perfectly on my wrist!”, oh thats also coming from a previous purchase of a Seiko Bluemo (45mm) 🤷🏼. Safe to say my pre-purchase checklist immediately had a new priority: Size. From the SARB033 onwards, the mentality of SIXIW was born, and now after a few more years in the watch game, I feel comfortable enough to share my experience in this hobby we all love.

Hi, I’m E Hang. I’ve been into watches since 2016 and if you’re anything like me, some of the watches out there are just way too big. SIXIW was created for my fellow Six Inch Wristers, to share my joys and struggles of having a small wrist. Hopefully, you’ll be able to learn a thing or two from my experiences.
